With autumn officially underway we’re excited to celebrate the season in every way possible. There is no doubt that autumn is the cigar smoker’s season and we’re inspired to get out there and smoke! The air is crisp but still warm enough to be outdoors, the sun is shining and the leaves are starting to change, surrounding you in rich, autumn colors. It’s just you and the great outdoors making it the perfect setting for an autumn smoke.

We find autumn to be our favorite smoking season for a variety of reasons but mainly because the weather is perfect and the crisp air often enhances the flavor of cigars. There really is no wrong cigar to smoke this time of year but we narrowed it down to a few we think go hand in hand with this spectacular season.

The Rocky Patel Autumn Collection is a must try cigar that is excellent for fall. This blend has a mix of peppery and spicy tastes with a hint of woody and leafy flavors. The Autumn Collection coincides with the spirit of the fall season perfectly and we highly recommend it! These cigars come in a Robusto size and are medium to full bodied smokes that are great for smoking on a crisp, fall day.

Ambrosia Clove Tikis by Drew Estate are another cigar we are excited to smoke this fall. These all natural, petite cigars are handcrafted with the finest ingredients. Loaded with spices from South East Asia, Estate grown cloves and star anise, these cigars are full of spicy goodness and are sure to impress! What’s even better is that these cigars are the perfect size if you’re looking to enjoy a quick smoke on a gorgeous autumn day.

Last year around this time Quesada released a blend that’s specifically designed to be paired with an Oktoberfest style beer. Quesada Oktoberfest cigars are great for the autumn season with their dark chocolate brown wrapper giving off notes of leaves and hay. Overall the cigar is extremely tasty with an array of flavors from espresso in the beginning to black pepper towards the end. We love everything about Quesada Oktoberfest cigars, right down to their clever band adorned with an autumn leaf.

We know autumn is a time for fall fairs, beer festivals and Halloween, but for the cigar aficionado in all of us we now know it’s the perfect season for cigars, so get out there and enjoy!
