Cigar Delivery Truck – 1913

Roughly a century ago, it was a regular appearance to see a truck like the one photographed above to make it’s rounds though the city streets to deliver cigars. At the time it was quite normal to see milk trucks, ice trucks and cigar trucks.

Fast forward a century, milk trucks have vanished as pasteurization has made it quite an unprofitable business. Ice trucks have vanished since refrigerators are in virtually every home. However Cigar Trucks? Where did these gems go?

We’ll give you a hint. They look like this now:

Cigar Imports are at an all time high and to meet that demand many online cigar firms such as Best Cigar Prices use a mixture of delivery systems to get cigars delivered to our customers.

The end result is that for Cigars, the only thing that changed was the look of the cigar trucks, but those cigar trucks still exist and in large numbers. When an individual orders from Best Cigar Prices, we carefully select, package and ship (generally on the same day) the order directly to your home. The next thing you know one of the above trucks shows up at your house and drops off those cigars.

In the case of Ice Trucks and Milk trucks, technology is what killed those businesses. However in the case of Cigars, Technology is what drove many cigar firms like Best Cigar Prices to adopt multiple delivery strategies to have a global effective reach as compared to our ancestors single truck that drove around town.
