The original Brick House brand was named after J.C. Newman’s childhood home and was a Cuban puro. Today’s incarnation is made by his grandchildren, Eric and Bobby Newman, with all-Nicaraguan tobaccos, including a dark, oily Havana Subido wrapper leaf. These stogies are sweet, spicy, and complex with notes of red pepper, cocoa, and maple syrup, along with an incredibly even burn and effortless draw. Their meticulous blending and dynamite construction earned the Robusto size a 92 rating in Cigar Aficionado, and for as low as $4.28 a stick, you truly can’t go wrong.

Brick House

For my palette, this cigar is and has been my favorite go to smoke.

Ok mild smoke.

I thought I would give these a try. Sometimes you just want something mild and easy going for a smoke earlier in the day. These are on the mild side, but I had inconsistencies. One cigar would tunnel with a tight draw. Another would be nice. Yet another was really soft. I don't know if I would buy again. When it smoked right, it was not a bad stick.

Good

I am not a novice cigar smoker, but it seems that generally the mouth-numbing, head-spinning cigars receive the highest ratings. This is a good, reasonably-priced, medium-full strength cigar. And what about the rating system -- 0-100? Have you ever seen a cigar rated less than 80? A letter grade might be more meaningful. I would rate this one a B+. I'm not sure what "Durability" and "Performance" mean. I'm not planning to use it as pry bar.

Brick House Toro

Great stick to keep in your humidor for that time when you need a quality smoke.

Excellant, Well Priced Stick

One of my favorites. Well constructed, smooth draw, flavorful. As well as having a nice aroma. Well done.

New Favorite

Great smoke! Easy draw with full flavor. Only complaints are that occasionally I have one that burns a bit uneven and they con in abit dry and the wrapper starts to crack. But I leave the humidor on the high side and it helps.
