Cigar Oasis Magna 3.0 is Amazing

I started looking at cigar humidifiers about a year ago. I had converted a teak wall cabinet into a humidor and wanted some type of humidification system for my ever growing cigar stash. I looked at everything available out there, and kept coming back to the Magna 3.0. My only initial worry was that it might be to large for my cabinet (18"x18"x55"). Well, I'm here to tell you that I made the right choice. The Magna sits comfortably on the bottom of my cabinet. I loaded it with slightly over a half a gallon of distilled water. The Magna came preset for 70 percent humidity. Be careful when you first take it out of the box because the unit has two light plastic flaps that automatically open when the unit is in operation. The reason I say to be careful is because it almost looks like packing material. I connected the power supply and ethernet connector for the remote and away it went. Since the plastic flaps close when the unit stops after each cycle, over humidification won't happen even in a smaller than specified humidor. Reviews I read said that the unit needs water every 2 weeks or so, but I found that I can go easily over a month before it needs more water. Of course if you have a very large humidor that might change. The Magna cycles fast and has very high output fans that are surprising quite once the door to my humidor is closed. Recovery time after opening my glass door to grab a cigar is amazingly fast. One thing you should be aware of is that to remote must be located inside your humidor since the sensors are in the remote, not the humidifier itself, making it impossible to mount the remote outside of your humidor. I did try to get my Magna working with the internet so I could control it via my cell phone, but my wireless router is older and not compatible with the Magna so I can't really give you info on that. I will say that with the set and forget operation of this unit, remote access would be a novelty at best, and maybe just fun to show your friends at the cigar lounge. Since I bought the Magna 3.0 I have had trouble free operation and I highly recommend this unit!
