Ernesto Perez-Carrillo is chiefly known for producing complex, full-bodied cigars like La Gloria Cubana Serie R and the E.P. Carrillo Edicion Limitada Elencos 2010. For the E.P. Carrillo New Wave Connecticut line, however, he employed a silky and mellow Ecuadorian Connecticut shade wrapper. This, along with Nicaraguan binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan filler leaves, makes for a mellow-to-medium-bodied smoke with notes of nuts, cream, cedar, and baking spice. Perez-Carrillo has succeeded in creating a line that combines remarkable smoothness with an intricate, complex flavor profile.
A nice smooth smoke. Falls just a little short on flavor

Mild cigar with a slight peppery flavor

Found it a little harsh for a Connecticut, but as with so many things, taste is an individual thing. The cigar is well constructed and draws well. Seemed (to me) a little harsh/bitter toward the end.

Offers a very consistent, creamy smoke of medium body, leaning towards mild, that offered some spice near the end. Nice construction, good draw, overall a pleasant, straightforward cigar.

Excellent every day smoke.

These quick smokes are an affordable every day enjoyment - good flavor in their mild to medium strength. Only an occasional tight wrap but still a quality cigar.

These Brillantes are a great and affordable everyday smoke. Smooth from the first puff to the last, these 15 minute sticks are the perfect smoke for early morning or the break time rush.

Big fan of this brand. Very flavorful, nice even burn. Good smoke earlier in the day. Went well with my morning coffee.
