Ernesto Perez-Carrillo is chiefly known for producing complex, full-bodied cigars like La Gloria Cubana Serie R and the E.P. Carrillo Edicion Limitada Elencos 2010. For the E.P. Carrillo New Wave Connecticut line, however, he employed a silky and mellow Ecuadorian Connecticut shade wrapper. This, along with Nicaraguan binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan filler leaves, makes for a mellow-to-medium-bodied smoke with notes of nuts, cream, cedar, and baking spice. Perez-Carrillo has succeeded in creating a line that combines remarkable smoothness with an intricate, complex flavor profile.
These little smokes are great and a great value. It is a mellow medium bodied smoke that goes great with coffee in the morning or scotch in the evening.
