Joya de Nicaragua is notoriously associated with full body flavor, with the popular Antano and Dark Corojo lines. The Cabinetta Series holds the well enjoyed Nicaraguan profile, at a mild to medium level. Notes of leather, creamy hazelnut, almond and oak are shared between an Ecuadorian shade wrapper on the body, and a Nicaraguan Criollo wrapper at the head. A wonderful pair with a glass of rich, dark rum on a warm summer night, or a cold winter day.
I enjoy the cigar. It was a nice even smoke. It was easy to smoke. It was a nice firm cigar. It’s smoked evenly and smoothly with a great flavor.

I have been smoking this particular cigar for quite sometime for numerous reasons. First, while no San Lotano Bull, I have found this cigar to be quite consistent and quite durable with the right flavor and strength for my morning smoke without a lot of time to spare. In fact, I have never had a cigar that was difficult to draw. I also like the Nicaraguan Criollo wrapper which provides the creamy hazelnut taste that is just right but not overbearing. I will admit, I have tried this cigar with both rum and scotch and prefer it with Scotch or a beer that doesn’t overpower the medium body taste. For what you get, the price is right and smokes better than the Toro which I also buy on occasion. If you are an everyday smoker like me, I would suggest giving it a try by buying a small bundle of 5 before diving into a box albeit for the bucks, this has the right bang.
