|Wrapper||Ecuadorian Habano Escuro|
Handcrafted using extensively-aged tobaccos born of rich volcanic soil, the Macanudo Inspirado Red joins the amazing Macanudo cigar roster as the brand’s fullest-bodied blend yet. As the first large scale Macanudo cigar to be produced in Nicaragua, the Inspirado Red sets a bold precedent. Showcasing a potent Ecuadorian Habano Ligero wrapper over spicy Nicaraguan Jalapa binder, the latest installment of the highly-rated Inspirado line boasts a dream-like filler blend of 12-year-aged tobaccos from Ometepe, Nicaragua, 10-year-aged fillers from the Jamastran Valley in Honduras, and five-year-aged tobaccos from Estelí. The resulting cigar is an impressive feat in balancing strength and refinement, delivering a spicy and peppery profile with unmatched silky finesse.
A bit bolder than I normally smoke, but a decent even smoke from this cigar. It did not suffer from uneven burning, and the bitter end came a bit sooner than others. Overall a good smoke.
