Tatuaje Serie P Sumatra is the most affordable Tatuaje cigar yet, thanks to its blend of Nicaraguan mixed filler leaves. This, along with a Nicaraguan binder and sweet, oily Sumatra wrapper, provides for a medium-bodied smoke with notes of cocoa, red pepper, and cherries. Tatuaje Series P Sumatra is cheap enough to enjoy every day, but tasty enough for any special occasion.
For the price these are fantastic. One of my go to cigars for 10 years. Shipping was fast great overall experience

As a discount line created by Pete Johnson, I one should hold the Series P up to the same standards as the flagship line. The Series P initially revealed some poor construction, particularly along the cap seams. I first chalked it up to transit-shock, but even after a week in the humidor, the loose seams were prevalent. (I subsequently resorted to using a V-cut to circumvent the issue) The flavour profile has some attributes of the Tatuaje line, though just slightly less complex. Though a bit flat on the initial one-third, the cigar redeems itself thereafter, with a rich flavour and solid draw. About 6-7 of the 20 cigar batch revealed some inconsistent burn characteristics, slight canoeing. While indeed a discount/mid-tiered price cigar produced by an premium brand, a step down in tobacco sourcing is expected. But, construction? The flavour profile alone spares this cigar a sub-standard rating.
