The story behind Undercrown is almost as epic as the blend itself. This cigar, released in 2011, came about because the torcedores at the Drew Estate factory were smoking so many Liga Privadas that the company was having trouble keeping inventory. They blended Undercrown, which Jonathan Drew calls an “inverse Liga Privada,” to smoke instead, this time using an exceptionally dark Otapan Negro Último Corte wrapper leaf from Mexico. “Último Corte,” meaning “last cut,” refers to the process of delaying the harvest for several weeks in order to bring out the leaf’s natural sweetness. The Undercrown uses a Connecticut-grown stalk-cut Habano leaf (the same one used in Liga Privada T52) for its binder, and the filler is a blend of Brazilian Mata Fina and Cuban-seed Nicaraguan tobaccos. The result, as you could well imagine, is outstanding. Undercrown is chocolaty, earthy, creamy, and peppery with some of the richest tobacco flavors you can find. The construction is on par with any Drew Estate cigar, and ensures an easy draw and razor-straight burn from start to finish.
This is the only brand I buy for a reason, the quality, flavor, and consistency is better than any other cigar on the market. The price for what you are getting is unmatched

These are the best cigars that I have had. Great for after dinner or anytime with a shot of Jack Daniels Single Barrel.

The "Liga Privada Undercrown Corona Doble" by Drew Estate is the finest cigar I have ever smoked.

This is another great cigar from Drew Estate. I'm not a fan of the flavored cigars they make, but the Liga Privadas are excellent. I highly recommend this cigar and this is the best price that I've found.

This cigar has a full body strength, decent flavor with no bitterness. The size is large for it's price and will smoke a long time. Good roll for an even burn and perfect draw. My new main favorite cigar. (Experience based on 4 boxes)

Good strong stick, with above decent flavor. Wrapper good with a good burn and draw. Long lasting stick. Price good for quality.
