Twisting a bold Mexican San Andrés wrapper over an Ecuadorian habano binder and fillers from Nicaragua, all tobaccos used in the 1888 Gran Reserva were aged for at least two years in bales before the cigars were rolled. After completion, the cigars were then aged for an additional year to ensure maximum refinement of their striking flavors.
