Unlike other machine-made cigars and cigarillos, Games are backed by the Garcia y Vega name — a name that has stood the test of time by producing cigars with quality tobacco since the 1800s. Learn more about the Garcia y Vega brand below.
In the late 1800s, Garcia y Vega was founded by Ramon Garcia, Eduardo Garcia, and Eugenio Vega. The brand quickly earned a reputation for using quality Cuban tobaccos to produce easy-to-smoke cigars. The true trademark of the Garcia y Vega brand, however, was their carefully woven straw packaging that held their earliest cigars.
Unfortunately, disaster struck Garcia y Vega just decades into their operation. Their factory in Cuba was decimated by a fire in the early 1900s. The damage was so severe that Garcia y Vega didn’t fully recover until they were bought by another cigar manufacturer. Of course, the brand eventually bounced back. Cigar enthusiasts know the name well today, not only for their wildly popular Game cigars, but for many other blends as well.
